In carrying out its functions, the Medan City DPRD needs to know the extent of the public satisfaction index on the performance that has been built. Collecting a lot of data requires an information system in its implementation, and this is the purpose of this research. The design of this Information System was built by utilizing PHP technology and MySQL as the database. The development method used to produce a good system is using the SDLC development method with a waterfall model. The design is also arranged with an object-oriented analysis approach using UML (Unified Modeling Language). This system is designed to provide convenience in data processing and produce accurate and fast reports. Nowadays, sales transactions are increasingly being conducted online through E-Commerce platforms, which offer convenience and efficiency in transactions. However, there are still many bookstores that use conventional methods in the sales process, resulting in several obstacles, such as limited market reach, time efficiency, and less than optimal data management. Therefore, this research aims to design a Book Sales Administration Information System with Web-Based Waterfall Development to overcome the problems that are still faced in the manual bookstore sales transaction process. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, which is one of the oldest software development methods and is linear in nature. This method is applied through several stages, namely requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The information system designed utilizes a database for data management and uses PHP and HTML programming languages in its development. The results of this study show that the information system developed can increase efficiency in the book sales process, facilitate recording transactions, and expand market reach. The main objective of the research is to identify and map the knowledge that exists within the company, both explicit and tacit, in order to improve the quality of services and products. The methodology used is a knowledge mapping approach with the Knowledge Management System Life Cycle (KMSLC) framework, which includes needs analysis, system design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance. The results of the study show that explicit knowledge such as menu lists and product prices are often not well documented, while tacit knowledge related to the determination of shipping and product prices does not run optimally. By managing knowledge on a regular basis, Kaishop Cookies can improve business processes and competitiveness in the market. This research also provides recommendations to improve product quality based on criticism and suggestions from consumers. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of knowledge management in the culinary business. Effective implementation of KMS can help companies in planning better strategies and increasing customer satisfaction. The knowledge transformation process utilizes the SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) method, mapping tacit and explicit knowledge flows within the organization. The system is designed to simplify information management, support employee collaboration, and provide a formal two-way feedback channel between employees and management. The KMS development follows partial KMSLC (Knowledge Management System Life Cycle) stages, including knowledge capture, blueprint design, and system verification. The result is a WordPress-based system that is flexible, user-friendly, and adaptable to business needs. This system enables improved operational efficiency, employee innovation, and responsiveness to customer needs.
